MemeStrategy & Grade10 Join YouTube Legend Logan Paul's Globally Anticipated Pokémon Trading Card Event

Hong Kong's first and sole participating team unboxes ultrarare 1999 firstedition cards; witnessing the historic auction of world's most expensive trading card with market estimates exceeding HKD 70 million!

HKSAR, February 4, 2026 — Hongkongers are joining world-class Pokémon trading card event for the first time! Internationally renowned auction platform Goldin will partner with leading global YouTuber and veteran Pokémon card collector Logan Paul on February 15, 2026, to host what is widely expected to be the most significant Pokémon trading card event to date. Hong Kong-listed MemeStrategy (HKEX:2440) and the renowned trading card brand Grade10 will lead the first Hong Kong trading card collecting team to visit Goldin's headquarters in New Jersey, USA, where they will join Logan Paul and Goldin founder Ken Goldin for a live, on-site unboxing of a sealed 1999 Pokémon 1st Edition Base Set Booster Box. The delegation will also witness the headline auction of the world's only PSA 10-graded "Pikachu Illustrator" card in a sale anticipated to be a landmark moment in the trading card market.

Ray Chan, CEO of MemeStrategy and Grade10, who joins this event, said: "Pokémon cards are no longer simply objects of childhood nostalgia; they have matured into cultural assets and alternative investment vehicles with global liquidity and meaningful long-term appreciation potential. Our participation in this world-class event, co-hosted by Goldin and Logan Paul, underscores MemeStrategy's forward-looking position within the rapidly expanding collectibles-as-assets landscape. It also strengthens the bridge between Hong Kong collectors and the world's premier collectibles market, fostering deeper dialogue between local collecting culture and global capital."

MemeStrategy's participation in this world-class event, jointly organized by Goldin and Logan Paul, underscores the company's strategic foresight in the asset-backed collectibles trend while establishing a vital conduit linking Hong Kong collectors to elite international markets, thereby facilitating engagement between local collecting culture and global capital.

Hong Kong's First and Sole Team to Participate in Global Card Break, Unboxing the Ultra-rare Pokémon Card

The 1999 Pokémon 1st Edition Base Set Booster Box used for the unboxing is itself a premier collectible. Its 36 booster packs were previously sold individually on Goldin's platform, achieving a combined total of USD 1.387 million, with individual packs fetching between USD 33,000 and USD 45,000. This places the upcoming unboxing among the most closely watched events in the history of Pokémon collecting.

The entire event will be livestreamed concurrently on Logan Paul's official YouTube channel and Goldin's official platforms, enabling buyers to witness the milestone moment as Logan Paul opens their purchased 1st Edition booster packs. As the first and only participating team from Hong Kong to join a global card break event, MemeStrategy invites all Hongkongers to follow the live broadcast and join the local collectors in witnessing this significant moment.

To further enhance the historical and investment value of the collectibles, all cards pulled during the unboxing will be submitted on-site to PSA, the industry's leading authentication and grading authority. Cards awarded a PSA 10 grade will receive a special "Logan Paul Break" commemorative label, providing formal provenance and distinguishing them for future secondary-market transactions. Industry observers note that if high-demand cards such as Charizard, Gyarados, or Venusaur are drawn and achieve top grades, individual valuations could exceed six figures—or potentially even seven figures—in USD. As a result, each pack opening carries the potential to become a market-moving moment capable of setting new pricing benchmarks across the global trading card sector.

Auction of the World's Most Expensive Pokémon Card: Witnessing a Historic Moment

A major highlight of the event will be the auction of Logan Paul's PSA 10 "Pikachu Illustrator" card. Widely regarded as the pinnacle of the global Pokémon trading card market, it remains the only known example in the world to have achieved a PSA Gem Mint 10 grade. Logan Paul acquired the card in 2022 for approximately USD 5.275 million (around HKD 41.145 million), setting a Guinness World Record¹ at the time for the "most expensive Pokémon card ever sold." Since bidding opened in January, cumulative offers have already surpassed the card's original purchase price, entering the multi-million-dollar range that has attracted sustained market attention.

Currently on Goldin, including buyer's premium, the latest bid for the card has reached USD 63.24 million (approximately HKD 493.27 million). On Polymarket², an internationally authoritative prediction market platform, forecasts regarding the auction outcome show that as of 18:30 Hong Kong time on February 3, 86% predict the card will sell for over USD 7 million (approximately HKD 54.6 million), 74% predict over USD 8 million (approximately HKD 62.4 million), 56% predict over USD 10 million (approximately HKD 78 million), while 3% predict the price will exceed USD 20 million (approximately HKD 156 million).

MemeStrategy team will witness this historical moment. The auction will enter its final phase at 22:00 US Eastern Time on Sunday, February 15, 2026, and will operate under an extended-bidding mechanism. Under this format, any new bid placed within the last 30 minutes will automatically extend the auction window until no further bids are submitted. This structure is expected to generate multiple bidding spikes during the global livestream.

The Netflix documentary series King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch features in-depth coverage of notable collecting stories, highlighting the trading expertise and cultural significance underpinning top-tier collectibles for a global audience.

The global trading card market continues to expand, reaching a valuation of USD 15.8 billion in 2024 and projected to grow to USD 23.5 billion by 2030³. According to data from Card Ladder, cited by The Wall Street Journal⁴, the value of Pokémon cards has risen by 3,821% since 2004, significantly outperforming the S&P 500's 483% gain over the same period. What began as a hobby has now evolved into a recognized alternative asset class with meaningful investment potential.

MemeStrategy is committed to the cultural-collectibles market, with trading cards serving as its initial strategic focus. Following its acquisition of the renowned trading card brand Grade10 in September 2025, and in response to rising market demand for enhanced security and professional storage solutions, the Company launched "Grade10 Vault" in January 2026—a premium storage service designed specifically for collectors and card dealers—in partnership with Crown Fine Art, a global leader in art logistics and secure storage. Cards stored in the vault are registered on a real-world asset (RWA) tokenization system built on the Solana blockchain, providing transparent, traceable, and tamper-proof digital certification.
